Happy Thursday! One more day until Friyay! Is anyone celebrating Valentines Day early, over the weekend? My hubby is convinced it will not be that busy, but I think it will be. One thing neither one of us like is when the restaurants jack up their prices and change the menu so you can only pick a small selection of items. Why do they have to take advantage of us hard working people!? So needless to say we usually avoid going out the day of.

If you are noticing a common theme on Instagram, ruffles are taking the fashion world by storm. Some people love it, some hate it but I think done the proper way it can add such great detail to any article of clothes. My sister text me last night and told me she would never wear this outfit. Hahah, oh thats what sisters are for!

This sweater from Shein Official is my new favorite top. It has a soft material and the bell sleeves keep their shape. Have you ever bought an article of clothing and the shape falls apart and looks nothing like when you bought it in the store? Ugh hate when that happens. This top is true to fit, however it did fall right at my waist. If you have a longer torso I would suggest going up a size. The fabric is very soft and does not leave an itch feeling. Valentines Look with Daniel Wellington

Happy Tuesday! I hope you are all having a good day! Today in upstate New York it has been gray and rainy......ALL DAY. Typical winter weather, atleast the grey part. Happy Monday! Mondays in our house are cleaning days aka recovering from the weekend. The house is usually a bomb and I try my best to have my girls help out with chores. My oldest who is five is a great help…most days. Thankfully today was one of those days! Did anyone watch the bachelor? I am not sure how I feel about this season. Nick would not have been my first choice, but hopefully this season picks up. I was working on this blog post while watching the show, a typically Monday night around here!

New Years Eve Attire

Gina and Kate is one of my all time favorite boutiques for dresses. Their quality of dresses is amazing and they are so incredibly soft! Their boutique has been such a joy to work with and I am always impressed with the dresses when I receive them in the mail. I had this dress in mind for New Years Eve as soon as I saw it. I was looking for something that was classy and elegant to wear. I have a petite frame so finding dresses that dont swallow me can be hard to do. This dress I paired with a fur belt to give it even more of a winter feel.

Shein Red Holiday Dress

I can’t say enough good things about this dress! First off my inner 90’s kid is screaming that I can wear sequins again as an adult. I obsoletely loved the holiday look this dress has to offer. Who says sexy has to consist of showing skin? This sleek and modest look just blew sexy out of the water while keeping it classy. The inside of this dress was soft and comfortable and the sequins did not make it uncomfortable at all.

This dress zips up in the back and and has such a flattering figure to it. As soon as I put it on my oldest daughter was squealing asking when she could wear it. The best part is that the dress is under $30! That is such a great price for a dress right in time for the holidays. I am wearing a size small for reference. I was very pleased with the quality of this dress and shipping time. You only have a short time before Christmas, so if you love this dress and price as much as I did I would buy one today!

Let’s talk Lace! When I first saw this shirt I fell in love. I loved how bright and crisp the white appeared and the lace detail gave it such a girly yet feminine vibe to it. The belle sleeves were a perfect addition without overdoing the general look. With a vintage feel to the shirt I paired it with my favorite express boot cut jeans. These jeans are so flattering and can be paired with almost anything!

The bottom of the shirt had a slight peplum look about it, flaring at the bottom. I enjoyed how the shirt had a fitted form to it while still maintaining some room to move about. My order was shipped quickly once it was placed and I was happy with the quality. The tank top underneath was slightly see through so I paired the top with my own white tank. Today’s blog post is about the “slouchy”. The slouchy is The Mint Julep Boutiques amazing sweatshirt. The slouchy is a cute and trendy long sleeve shirt that can be worn in multiple different ways. On top of that it is so incredibly comfortable. When I received the package in the mail I could not wait to wear them! The fabric was cotton and had a perfect fit as soon as I put it on. 

The part that I love most about the slouchy is how versatile it is. The wine colored slouchy was perfect for fall photos so I could not wait to dress it up with a hat and heels and take pictures in the leaves. I know it can be really hard to find fashion trends that are comfortable and trending, but that is the best part about this shirt. There are so many ways to style it!

Being a mom of two little girls I am on the go a lot and I am also home a lot. Being comfortable in what I am wearing is very important to me. I wanted to add a real life picture amongst the professional ones to keep things honest and real. Life is not always about dressing up and attending fancy events.  It is about cuddling on the couch and drying crying eyes while drinking all the coffee I can get. I may or may not have worn this pink slouchy all day and all night. It was the perfect comfy top for a tiresome day.

Shein Striped Dress

This is my new current favorite dress! I cannot say enough good things about it. First off the material is sooooo comfortable. You know those amazing high count thread sheets that you love to sleep in? I secretly think this dress is made from those sheets! Ok, maybe not but one can dream. 

This dress was fitted but still had some room for comfort. It also had a little bit of flow to it so I could pair it with a long cardigan. This dress is perfect for all season. I especially love pairing stripes in the fall with a deep mustard color. In the winter I can pair it with some tights and over the knee boots and once the weather warms up a bit in the spring I can wear it by itself.

Oliver Bilou

One of the best things about Instagram is coming across new and different accounts. I stumbled upon Oliver Bilou, a handbag website for the sophisticated lady. They feature three different bags and I instantly feel in love with all of them! My bag of choice was the deep blue vegan leather bag called, Amy. Amy is the epitome of a sophisticated handbag with a trendy twist. I love that the bag features tassels on the side. It has just enough fringe detail to make the bag pop. 

Being a busy mom, bags are very important in my day to day routine. I need something that can carry all of my essentials while still leaving room for diapers and wipes for my little one. I am past the stage of diaper bags but still have to carry a few things for my little ones, and this size bag is perfect for just that. It is the perfect size and proportion for any outfit. Not too big and not to small. 

As much as these bags are beautiful what the company stands for serve’s even a better purpose. A portion of the proceeds collected from these bags goes to charities that support children in developing countries. How amazing is that?! We lived in such a blessed country and I love that this company realizes that and is willing to share the love and wealth. Coco and Main

Fall season is upon us and that means cozy sweaters and wraps! The bigger the sweater the more comfortable they tend to be. Coco and Main sent this poncho wrap to me and let me tell you, this is by far the highest quality wrap I have ever seen or owned! The material is such great quality and served a purpose of keeping me warm. Have you ever bought a wrap before and it looked beautiful but did not keep you warm on a cool fall night? Unfortunately I have been there!

I love the specific design of this wrap, since it has many fall colors weaved throughout. Coco and Main has an amazing sale going on right now where most of their wraps have been clearance down to $25! Keep in mind the quality of clothes is very high. When buying online from a new company that is always the most challenging part, not knowing what you are getting. I 100% put my name behind this company and love their clothes.

Happy Thursday! One more day until the weekend! I came back home early Wednesday morning (2:30am kind of early) from a week away visiting my family. I loved being able to see my sister and her tribe but it is always so good to come back home. In the words of Dorothy, "there is no place like home!"

Mama's Night out

This paisley romper is such a fun outfit! It has all the characteristics you need when looking for something to wear out. It is soft, light, fun design and is COMFORTABLE! I am all about the comfort lately. If I move and the outfit doesnt, I am headng back to my closet to change. I dont have time for a stiff shirt. The only thing that should be stiff is my drink after watching my kids all day. Ok, ok I am kidding. Kinda ..... :)

This gorgeous clutch is from Versona. I purchased it at their boutique located in Baton Rouge. If you think of Louisiana pray for all the families who lost everything in the flooding. It truly is devastating.

These Chinese Laundry booties were such a find. I have been dying to buy the Kristin Cavallari booties (pictured below), however I could not bring myelf to pay $150 for them. This pair I found at Burlingotn Coat Factory for $32! I may have done a little victory dance.

This rose gold bar necklace from Vintage Stamp Jewels is my go to. I wear it with everyting and it matches everythig as well. Plus the owner is so sweet, thats always a plus!

When life throws those lemons.......

Ok lets get honest here. Lately I have been struggling with mommyhood. It is wonderful and special and the fact that I can stay at home (part time) with my girls is such a gift.  However if you have been around the sun a few times you know that some gifts are not always what we expected. That same concept can be applied. I love my girls with every fiber in my body, but there are days, more often than not that the bickering, shouting and plain ole drama become to much to handle. For whatever reason, God desiged my little angels to be passionate, high strung and emotional (I just decsribed all females pretty much) and I am learning daily how to handle that. Now add being a wife, and working, and life and then if time allows, things that I enjoy. It can be a stuggle trying to find the balance. 

Life does not come with a guidline. Oh, I wish it would! No matter how many times I can search google I will never find the perfect answer how to be a mother. It will give me a thousand opinion of others or say I am dying of a rare disease. Google is famous for misdiagnosing if you havent figured that one out yet.

I have noticed  a huge difference however if I have not read my bible.  When I am not reading God's word daily you know what happens? Discontentment sets in. Comparison starts to ransack my brain. Anger invades and makes me quick tempered and all the sudden my responisbilities just became a chore. The joy in raising two healthy beautiful girls has now became a nuisance and by 9am I am ready to go back to bed and bury my head.

The days I read my bible and pray are STILL hard! That part does not change, but what changes is my hearts attitude. I have strength to get through the day. I find more joy in the mundane and my complaints start to subside because I have allowed Gods word to sink into my heart and move me. This Christian life I walk is not easy, but Gods grace guides me and directs me to make better choices and live a life that is focused more on others and less on my own selfishness. To any moms, or any one else I hope I can encourage you today! Find joy in what you are called to do!

This shirt was such a fun and cute top to wear! I love the off the shoulder look, but still maintaining a shirt appearamce. This top seems to be more practical for children. Especially when they want to pull and tug on your clothes. One tug too hard and there goes a free show to anyone around! Oh those kiddos! The bag was a TJ Maxx find, and you know how those go. Almost impossible to find online. Check with your local store.
