The Must Have Bag for Spring

Happy Thursday! I hope you were able to make it through your week without too many difficulties. Tomorrow is Friday and who doesnt love a good fri-yay?! As every weekend goes by it means we are one week closer to spring, which for us Northern folks that means sun and heat. I am soooo ready for some warm weather.

This spring I really am loving the styles that are trending. One big trend that you will see throughout stores and online is neutrals. Neutrals are always a great choice. They are classy, clean looking, and easy to accessorize. 

I have been on the prowl for the perfect sized taupe bag and I FINALLY found it. This leather bag is from Cocovann and I absolutely love it! The size of the bag was large enough that I could fit my belongings in but not so large that it became a burden to carry for long periods of time. The shape of the bag held, which was important for me. I am on the go all the time and with children my bags get tossed around. There are several pockets along the side of the purse; perfect for you phone, lip glosses, gum and everything else we like to cram in. :) I have received so many compliments on this bag and I would 100% put my stamp of approval on this hot spring item.

Ava and Joy

Happy Monday! Mondays in our house are cleaning days aka recovering from the weekend. The house is usually a bomb and I try my best to have my girls help out with chores. My oldest who is five is a great help…most days. Thankfully today was one of those days! Did anyone watch the bachelor? I am not sure how I feel about this season. Nick would not have been my first choice, but hopefully this season picks up. I was working on this blog post while watching the show, a typically Monday night around here!

Ava and Joy is the boutique that provided the clothes pictured above. I loved all the pieces that I chose and the ultimate favorite of mine was the Little Black Dress. The dress was such excellent quality and I can’t wait to add it to my closet. It is one of those dresses that you can keep for years and know it will not go out of style. The other two sweaters are super comfortable. I chose a dark and light color so that they easily could go with multiple outfits. The black sweater had a ripped design; it gives it a unique look and leaves it a little unpolished looking. StyleWe White Lace

Let’s talk Lace! When I first saw this shirt I fell in love. I loved how bright and crisp the white appeared and the lace detail gave it such a girly yet feminine vibe to it. The belle sleeves were a perfect addition without overdoing the general look. With a vintage feel to the shirt I paired it with my favorite express boot cut jeans. These jeans are so flattering and can be paired with almost anything!

The bottom of the shirt had a slight peplum look about it, flaring at the bottom. I enjoyed how the shirt had a fitted form to it while still maintaining some room to move about. My order was shipped quickly once it was placed and I was happy with the quality. The tank top underneath was slightly see through so I paired the top with my own white tank. Lace up and Chokers

Happy Friday! Is anyone else as excited as me that it is the weekend? The weather here in New York is pretty crummy with rain and grey skies. Perfect day for watching movies and catching g up on household chores I have been putting off.

Today we are talking about lace up and chokers! To be totally honest when I first saw this shirt I did not like it at all! I did not think the fit would look good on me and collars are not usually my thing. After looking at it again a few times I figured I would give it a try because I really am loving the lace up trend right now.

When I paired this outfit together I actually fell in love with it! The shirt is so soft and comfortable. It does not have a stiff feel to it, unlike some other collared shirts. I love how the criss cross detail is large on the shirt making it more of a bold statement. I am all for bold statements. I tend to shy away from them most of the time, but I always love when I see other people and bloggers making bold moves. I think I should take some lessons from them sometime!

ILY Blanket scarf

Lets talk accessories! ILY Mix sent me a pair of sunglasses and blanket scarf to style and I really love both of them! Whenever shipments come to me from other companies I have never ordered before I am always a little hesitant of the quality. I was pleasantly pleased with both items that I received. The best part? The glasses and scarf were both under $25!

This blanket scarf is so incredibly comfortable! Some scarfs leave an itchy or irritated feel to our skin, however this scarf is made up of a very soft cotton and i could easily sleep in it! It is light enough to wear all day and can be worn as a shawl as well.

Make Me Chic

I love fall dresses! I am naturally drawn to cooler colors, so when I see the olive and caramel  and deep reds I cannot help but swoon over them. Maybe it is the time of year that these colors are associated. Regardless, I love everything and anything associated with fall. Except for haunted houses. I cannot do those. They are the worst! If you want to see me bawl like a baby, drag me out to one of those on a Friday night.

Bunny trailing....When I found this dress on the Make Me Chic  website I fell in love right away. I am a sucker for florals, if you have been following me for some time now you know that. I love anything floral so this dress jumped off the page as soon as I saw it!

The back detailing was probably my favorite part of the dress. I liked that it had a different flair to it, compared to some other dresses I have seen.

Since the dress has a heavier design I made sure to keep the shoe basic. Another great shoe option would be a strappy red heel. Something that has a little pop of color, without there being too much shoe. Our eyes naturally draw down so you want to keep the shoes flowing with the dress.
