Waterloo Back to School Sale

Last Week Tim and I spent the day at The Waterloo Premium Outlets for their Back to School Sale. We had so much fun and found AMAZING deals. Im talking pants and tops under $5 good! Kate Spade, Under Armor, H&M, and Old Navy were the first four stores we wanted to visit.

Kate Spade had an amazing sale with 60% off everything plus an addiotnal 20% on multiple items. I fell in love with this Pink crossbody .

Tim found a great jacket at Under Armour for coaching soccer this year.

H&M is one of my favorite retailers and this was by far my favorite stop. I walked out of the store with two GIANT ,GIANT bags for $160. I found so many amazing items on sale, most under $10. My hubby (who is a difficult shopper) found some great items in the men’s department under $15. Below are some of my favorite items that I tried on (and of course) brought home with me .

Brooklynne and Mercy have about three weeks left before they go back to school and so I was looking for some comfortable fall clothes for them. Here in upstate New York, fall will be here shortly so hoodies and pants were on my list of items to grab for the girls. Old Navy is always a go to of mine for kids clothes. They always have great sales and the cutest options for my little ones. I recommend any of the their hoodies for your little one and their sweatpants. Every year I buy a fresh set for my kids and they love how comfortable they are.

The Must Have Bag for Spring

Happy Thursday! I hope you were able to make it through your week without too many difficulties. Tomorrow is Friday and who doesnt love a good fri-yay?! As every weekend goes by it means we are one week closer to spring, which for us Northern folks that means sun and heat. I am soooo ready for some warm weather.

This spring I really am loving the styles that are trending. One big trend that you will see throughout stores and online is neutrals. Neutrals are always a great choice. They are classy, clean looking, and easy to accessorize.

Faux Fur Winter Style

Two words, SO FUN! This jacket is the ultimate faux fur, with chevron patterns and earth tone colors. The jacket appears to be heavy but surprisingly is light. It keeps the perfect amount of warmth while still maintaining a light and airy feel. There are tiny clasps that line the jacket making it an option to close the jacket.  I am not going to lie, slipping this coat on instantly makes me forget I change diapers on the regular. Let’s talk Lace! When I first saw this shirt I fell in love. I loved how bright and crisp the white appeared and the lace detail gave it such a girly yet feminine vibe to it. The belle sleeves were a perfect addition without overdoing the general look. With a vintage feel to the shirt I paired it with my favorite express boot cut jeans. These jeans are so flattering and can be paired with almost anything!

The bottom of the shirt had a slight peplum look about it, flaring at the bottom. I enjoyed how the shirt had a fitted form to it while still maintaining some room to move about. My order was shipped quickly once it was placed and I was happy with the quality. The tank top underneath was slightly see through so I paired the top with my own white tank. Today’s blog post is about the “slouchy”. The slouchy is The Mint Julep Boutiques amazing sweatshirt. The slouchy is a cute and trendy long sleeve shirt that can be worn in multiple different ways. On top of that it is so incredibly comfortable. When I received the package in the mail I could not wait to wear them! The fabric was cotton and had a perfect fit as soon as I put it on. 

The part that I love most about the slouchy is how versatile it is. The wine colored slouchy was perfect for fall photos so I could not wait to dress it up with a hat and heels and take pictures in the leaves. I know it can be really hard to find fashion trends that are comfortable and trending, but that is the best part about this shirt. There are so many ways to style it!

Being a mom of two little girls I am on the go a lot and I am also home a lot. Being comfortable in what I am wearing is very important to me. I wanted to add a real life picture amongst the professional ones to keep things honest and real. Life is not always about dressing up and attending fancy events.  It is about cuddling on the couch and drying crying eyes while drinking all the coffee I can get. I may or may not have worn this pink slouchy all day and all night. It was the perfect comfy top for a tiresome day.

Shein Striped Dress

This is my new current favorite dress! I cannot say enough good things about it. First off the material is sooooo comfortable. You know those amazing high count thread sheets that you love to sleep in? I secretly think this dress is made from those sheets! Ok, maybe not but one can dream. 

This dress was fitted but still had some room for comfort. It also had a little bit of flow to it so I could pair it with a long cardigan. This dress is perfect for all season. I especially love pairing stripes in the fall with a deep mustard color. In the winter I can pair it with some tights and over the knee boots and once the weather warms up a bit in the spring I can wear it by itself.

THML Fall LookBook

Big comfy sweaters are my favorite fall trend. The saying “the higher the hair the closer to heaven”, I feel can be relatable when you put on your oversized snugly shirt for the day. Sweaters are just so inviting and if it is a gloomy day, forget about it I am making my way to the couch for a quick nap.

 This sweater is from THML Clothing Company. I am the least bit a fan of turtlenecks because of the constraint on your neck but I love the warmth they provide. This sweater featured below had the perfect compromise to my problem. The neckline almost appears to be a scarf and the button details add the cutest touch.

Stripes are always a flattering look and I love that these stripes are neutral. I have been on a big neutral kick lately and this sweater had me swooning as soon as I saw it. Some sweaters can leave an itchy irritated feeling, especially if there is material around your neck. This sweaters fabric was light enough that the material did not cling to your body but still added enough warmth without any irritation.

This drape front jacket is so cozy and fun to wear. The oversized grey look to me just appears to have a London-esque look . I have no idea why but it does. The plaid long sleeves could not have added a more fall appearance even if I tried. Typically I am not a fan of plaid, however this had just enough pop of design yet still subtle enough to be able to be paired with multiple outfits.

I recently went to a birthday celebration that was outside and it was COLD. Most people attending were wearing winter coats and all I brought was a thick sweater and this jacket. Needless to say I was not the least bit cold. I was pleasantly surprised at how warm I stayed in the jacket. The jacket itself was not heavy but provided the warmth and comfort that I needed.

Happy Thursday! One more day until the weekend! I came back home early Wednesday morning (2:30am kind of early) from a week away visiting my family. I loved being able to see my sister and her tribe but it is always so good to come back home. In the words of Dorothy, "there is no place like home!"

Lets talk watches! Typically I am a fan of big, bold watches. I wear them usually for the arm candy party and very rarely do I ever wear a watch for the time. Does that sound crazy? Wear a watch for the sole purpose of being just an accessory? I always have my phone on me so I never need to look anywhere else for the time. 

I would say I do about 60% of my blogging work on my phone. I have all my apps on there with my emails, which results in my constantly being on my phone. This is something that is necessary for me to do my work however I hate how much I have to be glued to that tiny device. With two little girls watching my every move and constantly looking up to me, I do not want them to always remember mommy being on her phone. Do you feel that way as well? If using a watch can take away one less distraction from me being on my phone, Ill take it!

"Wood time is it Mr.Fox" Giveaway

My daughters and I have started to play a new favorite game, "What time is it Mr. Fox"? My youngest who is almost 2, does not quite understand and likes to yell "Fox" every time. It is the cutest thing! My older daughter who is starting kindergarten in a few weeks, loves to play and I am realizing it is a great transition into teacher her time.

It allows me to keep distractions at bay, and focus on the more important things in life.
