It has been a few weeks now since I started reading Always Eat After 7 PM: The Revolutionary Rule-Breaking Diet That Lets You Enjoy Huge Dinners, Desserts, and Indulgent Snacks—While Burning Fat Overnight by Joel Marion. I have really enjoyed the different perspective this book takes as it encourages eating after dinner. My goal in reading this book was to figure out how to balance out eating sweets and desserts with other healthy dinners. So far I think I have been able to find a pretty good balance between the two.
I am really enjoying reading through the book. The book is filled with not just informative facts on how food effects the body but also is full of recipes and meal planning.
“Water helps digest your food, expel wastes, regulate your temperature, protect your tissues, cushion your joints, and protect your spinal column, among many other vital functions. It is through water that hormones flow to the proper organs, that nutrients reach all cells, and that toxins are diluted and removed from the body.” I have increased my intake of water drastically over these last several weeks and I have noticed such a major difference from my energy level and also from the way I feel throughout the day.
Joel Marion’s Always Eat After 7PM program makes dieting easy and eliminates 90% of reasons for resistance.
The most challenging times to curb hunger are just before bed and in the morning. By following the Always Eat After 7PM program, you have the most willpower to stay on the diet because you are eating during the hours when you are most hungry. This also puts you into both intermittent fasting increasing testosterone and your metabolism, while putting you into ketosis.
The Always Eat After 7 PM plan consists of: The 14-day Acceleration Phase to kick-start the program and see rapid results, The Main Phase where you’ll learn exactly which foods to eat when in order to achieve your weight-loss goals, The Lifestyle Phase to keep the weight off for good.
One recipe that we have tried and absolutely love is the One-Pan Garlic Roasted Salmon and Broccoli. It only takes 10 minutes to prep and is so delicious. In the summertime I like to make light meals and this is the perfect healthy dinner option.
If you missed my last two posts I have the first linked here and the second linked here. They touch on my goals for reading the books and how I approach eating and also my progress with trying the new diet regimen.
