I am so excited to share a new book I have been reading these past few weeks with all of you. This post is brought to you by “Always Eat After 7 PM” and the pinions expressed below are my own. It is called Always Eat After 7 PM: The Revolutionary Rule-Breaking Diet That Lets You Enjoy Huge Dinners, Desserts, and Indulgent Snacks—While Burning Fat Overnight by Joel Marion , book cover found here. As many of you know I have followed a strict AIP regimen due to some health issues. Now that I have resolved those issues, I am back to eating (semi-normal) again and have been looking for some guidance on how to balance eating different types of food. I LOVE me some sweets, and at the end of the day I love to grab a little dessert and sit with the hubs on the couch.
Based on surprising science, Always Eat After 7 PM debunks popular diet myths and offers an easy-to-follow diet that accelerates fat-burning and allows you to indulge in your most intense food cravings: Eating the majority of your calories at night. Here are a few shorts tips from the book, directly from the author. It gives a little insight to what I have been reading.
However, I have always heard different thoughts that eating late was not good for you, a contributor to weight gain and had no benefit to it. In this book Joel shares a there phase plan on losing weight by going against the grain and eating after 7pm. The Always Eat After 7 PM plan consists of: The 14-day Acceleration Phase to kick-start the program and see rapid results, The Main Phase where you’ll learn exactly which foods to eat when in order to achieve your weight-loss goals, The Lifestyle Phase to keep the weight off for good I am choosing to follow this to help with energy loss (from taking care of the kids all day) and also getting rid of those extra pounds gained from the last few months of comfort eating. I know I am not the only one who ate one cookie to many!
One quote I loved reading was this: “A research paper published in Sports Medicine in 2014 showed that people who eat the majority of their carbs at dinner actually sleep better. Carb-induced, quality sleep decreases cortisol (a fat-storing hormone) and ramps up the production of your sleep hormones, serotonin and melatonin. Restorative sleep increases fat-burning hormones—the main one being growth hormone—overnight.” Think about all those big holiday meals you have throughout the year, and how WELL you sleep after. I always get the best nights rest from holiday dinners or date nights out.
I am so excited to share my journey with you over the next few weeks and showcase what I have learned through this book as well as what I have gained form it on a physical and mental level. Always Eat After 7 PM: The Revolutionary Rule-Breaking Diet That Lets You Enjoy Huge Dinners, Desserts, and Indulgent Snacks—While Burning Fat Overnight by Joel Marion is now available to purchase. Learn more about the book and how to purchase here. I’d love to hear your feedback if you read the book! Let me know.
XOXO,
Brianna Lynne
